Are you a talented and self-motivated data scientist? Do you want to be among the first to access novel medical data and drive the translation of an established metabolic biomarker technology to widespread healthcare use? We’re looking for both junior and senior data scientists (bioinformaticians, computational geneticists, statisticians and epidemiologists) to join Nightingale’s Research Solutions team, where you will work with blood biomarkers and genomic data from the world’s largest biobanks.
Nightingale’s biomarker platform was recently selected for profiling all 500 000 blood samples from the world's largest health database, the UK Biobank. Data scientists at Nightingale will have access to these data during an exclusivity period, providing a treasure trove of scientific opportunities. You will work in a team of data scientists and scientific consultants, and with our customers consisting of world-leading epidemiologists. You will conduct scientific analyses related to applications of Nightingale’s widely acclaimed biomarker service for blood and urine profiling (e.g. biomarker discovery and disease prediction). A prime focus is to extend applications for Nightingale’s biomarker profiling beyond heart disease and take part in translating the cutting-edge research to relevant patient settings.
We’re looking for a person who excels in data analysis and has a strong interest in biomedical research as well as bio-business. You’re a target-oriented and proactive personality with strong teamwork skills, as well as enthusiasm to work outside your comfort zone.
