Chief Financial Officer

Hi, we’re Nightingale, a health technology company on a mission to solve the global chronic disease crisis. Based on our proprietary technology, we have developed an advanced preventative blood analysis that has the potential to change the future health of billions of people. We’re growing fast—just launched a preventive blood test for individual consumers—and are currently looking for an experienced financial strategist to join us as our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

You’ll be based in Helsinki and primarily be responsible for providing strategic leadership to drive the company’s global budget, forecast and long-term planning. You’ll collaborate with our CEO, the executive team and function leaders to provide financial insights into the business. You’ll also have a hands-on role in the development and implementation of our financial systems.

As our CFO, you will:

  • Be part of the management team and work closely with the CEO to provide insights into the business
  • Provide strategic leadership to drive the company’s global budget, forecast and long-term planning.
  • Collaborate with the management team members to implement the best practices in managing spend and improving the company’s overall financial and operational efficacy.
  • Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.
  • Prepare analysis, commentary and presentations for key stakeholders, including investors.
  • Lead the accounting functions and be hands-on with developing and implementing financial systems.
  • Make sure that effective internal controls are in place that ensures compliance with GAAP; and that it takes into account applicable regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

You’ll be a perfect lead for our financial functions if you:

  • Have a Master’s degree in a relevant field. CPA certification is highly desired.
  • Have deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and consolidations.
  • Are a seasoned leader with experience in financial strategy, taxation and change management.
  • Have management and supervisory skills and an ability to clearly communicate at all levels of the organizations.
  • Have experience in handling financial tools, including system implementation.
  • Are proficient in Financial Accounting System (FAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and can make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
  • Have international exposure in your field of work. Some experience in fundraising will also be preferred.
