DevOps Engineer

Hi, we are Nightingale, a health technology company on a mission to solve the global chronic disease crisis using data, science and technology. We are growing rapidly––expanding both our business and teams––and are currently looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in Helsinki.

In your new role you’ll help us develop, test and deploy our software products and manage our computing environments. Products you’ll work with include My Nightingale consumer product, our internal web-based laboratory management system and software and tools used by our data analysis team. You’ll be part of an agile software development team and work in a business that combines health and science with cutting-edge lab technology with the latest software. However, that’s not the most exciting part about this job. The best part about this role is that you’ll be enabling a good technology that has the potential to change the health of billions of people.

As a DevOps Engineer at Nightingale you’ll:

  • Automate our build, test and deployment practices by developing a continuous integration and deployment pipelines for our products.
  • Develop and maintain our cloud-based hosting environments as well as our internal computing infrastructure to make sure our services keep running smoothly 24/7.
  • Take part in making important technology decisions and improving our ways of working.
  • Get a chance to dive deeper into biotech and the fast-growing health industry.

Technologies you’ll be working with:


AWS, Nutanix, Kubernetes, Docker, Apache Kafka, MongoDB, React, React Native, Node.js, Electron, TypeScript, TestCafe

You’ll be a perfect fit if you:

  • Are a hands-on person with DevOps experience in CI/CD systems and cloud environments.
  • Have a pragmatic and proactive attitude and are all about helping the team to effortlessly host, build, test and deploy their software.
  • Are an eager learner who wants to pickup new things to become an even better software professional.
  • Thrive as part of a diverse team working towards a common goal.

We also value if you have:

  • Strong experience in building and maintaining continuous integration, test automation and delivery systems.
  • Experience in cloud service infra management, especially with AWS
  • Knowledge and willingness to keep up-to-date with newest DevOps tool chains.
  • Worked with service environment monitoring tools
  • Experience in AWS, Nutanix, Kubernetes, Docker, Apache Kafka and/or MongoDB. This will be a big plus.
