Laboratory assistant

We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join our team in Helsinki. You’ll be part of our dedicated Lab Delivery team that consists of laboratory experts delivering high quality results to our customers globally in a fast-growing biotech, consumer health and health service industry.

As a Laboratory Assistant at Nightingale you’ll:

  • Be a part of our fast-paced delivery team that serves global customers by analyzing blood samples.
  • Handle sample preparation and processing in our laboratory.
  • Deliver analytical measurements using our proprietary technology that is based on nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.
  • Take part in daily service and maintenance activities in the laboratory.

You’ll be a perfect fit if you:

  • Are a trained laboratory assistant (or equivalent) who is passionate about utilizing our proprietary technology for blood sample analyses.
  • Are an enthusiastic and dependable person who can juggle between wide range of tasks simultaneously (and enjoys it!).
  • Have an entrepreneurial “can-do and quality first” mind-set.
  • Have a knowledge and experience of analytical measurements with a solid understanding of analytical and/or clinical chemistry.
  • Willingness to adapt to a flexible team culture and take on new challenges.
  • A strong knowledge of the English language. Finnish is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Previous working experience in a clinical laboratory, or knowledge of NMR spectroscopy or automated liquid handlers is not required but is considered a plus.
  • Prior work experience in a regulated (GxP or QMS) industry environment is not required but is considered an asset.
  • Have an existing working permit in EU (unfortunately we don’t offer relocation).

This is a full-time position based in Helsinki and available immediately.
