Nightingale Health Plc’s (“Nightingale") positive net impact on the surrounding world has been validated by the Upright Project (“Upright”), a technology company that has developed a quantification model to measure the net impact of companies.

Based on Nightingale’s advanced proprietary blood analysis platform technology and innovative solutions in preventative health, the company was awarded a net impact ratio of +70%. The result counts among the best 7% of all companies globally. Publicly listed companies on Nasdaq Helsinki have, on average, a score of -16%, meaning their contribution to the world is negative.

Upright’s proprietary data model considers 19 impact categories in four dimensions: society, knowledge, health, and environment. The model considers a company’s use of resources and the value created with them and summarizes it into the net impact score. Nightingale’s rating of +70% indicates the company's positive impacts outperform its negatives by 70%.

Nightingale’s greatest impact comes from its significant contribution to creating knowledge, which originate from Nightingale’s ability to analyze hundreds of biomarkers from a single blood sample and from the world-wide use of Nightingale’s health data by medical researchers. These researchers use Nightingale’s data in the research of diseases with the most burden on society, such as cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes.

Upright’s model expects Nightingale’s impact score to further improve as the company grows. In the growth scenario, Nightingale’s contribution to knowledge creation is expected to become even more significant as the company expands to offer its services to consumers and the health industry.
