Inside information: Nightingale Health signs USD 6.5 million proteomics agreement with the Michael J. Fox Foundation for neurodegenerative disease research

Nightingale Health (Nasdaq Helsinki: HEALTH; OTCQX: NHLTY, NGHLF), a pioneer in disease risk detection and preventive health, has signed a USD 6.5 million proteomics service agreement with the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Under the agreement, Nightingale will perform proteomics analyses on 60,000 UK Biobank samples using Alamar Biosciences' NULISAseq™ Neuro 220 Panel and, at the Foundation's direction, deliver the resulting dataset to UK Biobank for research use.

The NULISAseq™ Neuro 220 Panel is a proteomics panel for neurodegeneration and other brain health conditions. Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease are among the most rapidly growing disease burdens globally, and a central focus of current research in the field is the identification of blood markers that change years before clinical symptoms appear. The dataset generated under this agreement will support that research, aimed at improving identification of people at risk, the future development of diagnostics, and accelerating drug development.
